Copa Airlines Begins Flights to Puerto Vallarta
Yesterday, Sunday, December 16, the Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport gave a warm welcome to the Panamanian airline Copa Airlines.
Landing at 12:48 PM, the plane was greeted with a very Mexican opening ceremony: a water salut, mariachi and tequila.
The airline inaugurated its first flight, a direct route from Panama to Puerto Vallarta (its fifth destination in Mexico) over a Boeing 737-700 aircraft with a capacity for up to 12 passengers in business class and 112 in tourist. Copa Airlines will operate flights on Thursdays and Sundays.
Copa Airlines not only has the mission of connecting various destinations through Panama as a point of connection with the Americas, it also seeks to promote cultural exchange, support tourism and commercial expansion of Puerto Vallarta – Riviera Nayarit, as it is the 80th destination of the airline in the continent.
Highlighting its continuous progress and the quality of the service they provide, Copa Airlines is part of the global Star Alliance airline network and for five consecutive years it has been recognized as the most punctual airline in Latin America by the Official Airline Guide (OAG), as well as the fourth most punctual in the world.
