Copa Airlines to Connect Panama City and Puerto Vallarta
Copa Airlines (the flag carrier of Panama) has announced its new international, direct flight for the next winter season, a new route between Panama City and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, that will be operating twice a week, starting on December 16. Puerto Vallarta will be the fifth Mexican destination for the airline, following Mexico City, Cancun, Guadalajara and Monterrey.
Mauro Arredondo, Copa Airlines’ general manager stated: “Mexico is an important market for Copa Airlines to continue developing and offering world-class quality service, connectivity, and punctuality. The Panama – Puerto Vallarta · Riviera Nayarit route will strengthen the development of the tourism sector as well as commercial and investment opportunities with this important region of southeast Mexico.” He added: “With this new route, the Hub of the Americas at Panama’s Tocumen International Airport will continue to consolidate as the most efficient and best-connected airline hub on the American continent.”
The flight will begin with a twice-weekly frequency on Thursdays and Sundays, departing from Panama City at 9:05am and arriving at the Puerto Vallarta’s International Airport at 1:25pm (local time). The return flight departs the same day from Puerto Vallarta at 3:40pm, arriving in Panama City at 8:00pm (local time). The route will operate on a Boeing 737-700 aircraft with room for 12 first class passengers and 112 passengers in the main cabin.
