The Puerto Vallarta International Film Festival, now celebrating its 19th edition, is our destination’s most important film festival and will feature the presence of Chile as the guest of honor.

From March 11th to 22nd, 2019, all those film lovers will be able to enjoy a special selection of more than 50 national and international films, based at the Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUCosta) of the Universidad de Guadalajara (UdeG), the institution that organizes the festival.

As every year, the “La Iguana de Oro” medal will be presented to outstanding personalities who have made significant contributions to world cinema and, in addition, there will be parallel activities such as the “Cátedra Huston de Cine y Literatura” (Huston’s Lecture in Film and Literature), which will be attended by actress Diana Bracho (Mexico); Fiona Clark, director of the Cork Film Festival (Ireland); Esther García, production director of El Deseo (production house of Pedro Almodóvar) and Kevin Scott (Canada), director of the special effects of the film The Shape of Water.

This edition will be attended by artistic talent such as Blanca Guerra, honored at the Guadalajara International Film Festival; the first actress Ofelia Medina; Sebastián del Amo, director of “El Complot Mongol,” film of the inaugural FICPV gala and documentary directors such as Ricky López Bruni, Jorge Bidault, José Leos Bruni, María Antonieta de la Fuente Díaz, Rubén Bañuelos and Iván López.

“We have been advertising in Vallarta Lifestyles since the opening of our restaurant, and since then, we have kept a strong relationship. Due to its scope and distribution, the campaigns that we advertised regarding our different culinary projects have always been a success. This magazine has been consolidated as a benchmark that promotes the beauty of our destination in a creative and effective way.”

“Vallarta Lifestyles speaks for itself, it’s a good quality publication with great image, that’s why we have advertised since we started our business. Without any doubt, it is the most read magazine. Its articles and advertising are target to the audience we’re looking for. Vallarta Lifestyles has grown the same way Puerto Vallarta has.”
