First Stone Set for One&Only Hotel in Riviera Nayarit
The first stone ceremony for the upcoming One&Only Mandarina Hotel in El Monteón, Riviera Nayarit, took place this past Monday, May 16. The luxury hotel, the first of its kind in the region, will be completed by the end of 2018, with an investment topping 100 million USD, and offering 125 rooms with top-notch, world-class quality services.
Nayarit Governor, Roberto Sandoval Castañeda, was present to set the first stone in place, along Compostela Mayor, Alicia Monroy, and Juan Bremer, director of Rasaland, the developer behind the project. The luxury resort will 125 villa suites situated in a 74 acre area of pristine beachfront land in El Monteón, a small town in Riviera Nayarit located near Lo de Marcos, north of San Pancho. Designed by renowned American architect Rick Joy, the resort will feature two beach clubs, several swimming pools, six restaurants and bars, event rooms, a Spa, and a children’s club among other amenities, such as two polo fields and an equestrian center.
It is expected that the project will result in two thousand on-site jobs and eight thousand related jobs. Once in operation, the One&Only Mandarina Hotel will be run by approximately 600 employees.
