From April 27 – May 7, Puerto Vallarta will host the 11th Festival Vallarta Azteca del Folclor Internacional, an event celebrating folkloric dance expressions from all over Mexico and Latin America. This year’s edition will feature dance troupes from 14 Mexican states—including Jalisco, Oaxaca, Michoacan, Nayarit, Sinaloa, Baja California and Chihuahua—and 4 international companies—originally from Colombia, Peru, Chile and Bolivia.

An opening day parade will be held from the Malecon to the Agustin Flores Contreras municipal sports complex on April 27, starting at 6:00pm. Performances will be taking place in three venues: the Agustin Flores Contreras municipal sports complex, Los Arcos amphitheater and Parque Hidalgo. A complete schedule of events can be found on the festival’s Facebook Page.

The aim of the festival is to create bonds of peace and brotherhood between the groups and countries involved, as well as providing entertainment and cultural events for the Puerto Vallarta citizens and visitors. The festival is endorsed by the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Art (CIOFF), UNESCO partner organization.

“One of the biggest benefits of advertising our business in Vallarta Lifestyles is the presence of our brand aimed to the audience we are looking for. It is a reliable and professional magazine that has helped us with the marketing of our restaurant several times, through well done photography or articles. We feel that we understand each other.”

“One of the biggest benefits of advertising in Vallarta Lifestyles is that a lot of readers keep it as a bible. People have arrived to our gallery looking for the pieces that are in the advertisements published 5 or 6 years ago, and that’s really valuable for us. Besides being an excellent magazine where is possible to find the newest in the destination, it is a publication dedicated to the public we want to reach and keep.”

“Vallarta Lifestyles has readers from Punta de Mita to Mismaloya and beyond, so announcing my business, means the positioning and recognition of my agency throughout the region. The contents of the magazine are very interesting, because they provide relevant information about activities in the destination. I am pleased to see it at hotels, restaurants and galleries, but what excites me the most is to see people with their issue in hand. That is really relevant for us.”
