Galería Contempo (Basilio Badillo 252, Emiliano Zapata, Puerto Vallarta) is inviting to meet and greet artist Cathy Chalvignac at her opening reception on Friday, January 27th, 2023, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

Faithful portraits of presence, honoring the intrinsic connection between all living indigenous cultures. Streams of photorealistic detail that carries an unsuspected importance: the life force of her subjects, so intensely mesmerizing that they seem to step off the canvas, inviting us to experience the magnificence of life.

A Parisian by birth and a Mexican resident for 37 years, she spent her formative years in Canada, where she developed a heart connection to Native American Indians.

Chalvignac paints the ethnic groups that she has fallen in love with as authentically as she can, to capture their inner silence and wisdom.
