Galerías Vallarta Announces October Events

Galerías Vallarta shopping plaza has announced its schedule of events for the month of October, including a broad range of cultural and entertainment activities for people of all ages. Among them, a cake cutting event to commemorate the shopping mall’s ninth anniversary, a Fall/Winter Fashion Show and Day of the Dead and Halloween celebrations.

Here are some of the highlights:

• October 12 • 7 pm: Nine Years With You

Ninth anniversary cake cutting celebration, sponsored by Los Chatos Bakery.

• October 12 • 7 pm: Pirates Arrive to Galerías Vallarta

A lively performance featuring acrobats and interaction with attendees, by the Marigalante pirate ship performers.

• October 14 • 7 pm: Opening Reception for “Endemic Birds of the Region”

An itinerant exhibition produced by the Vallarta Botanical Gardens, featuring photographs by ten local and foreign visual artists.

• October 19 • 7 pm: Breast Cancer Awareness Workshops

Featuring games, group bonding dynamics, talks, infographics and presentations to encourage breast cancer prevention.

• October 20 • 7 pm: Fall/Winter Fashion Show

Discover the fashion trends for the season, showcased by the clothing brands available at the shopping mall.

• October 27 • 6 pm: Oriental Cuisine Workshop-Exhibition

Presented by De La Vera Cruz University Gastronomy students.

Day of the Dead Activities

• October 29 • 7 pm: Dead Dancers

Dancing catrinas performing salsa, bachata, belly dance, ballet, hip hop, jazz and Mexican folklore.

• October 30 • 6 pm: Halloween Fest

Dancing and circus acts by performing arts school Danzirco.

• October 31 • 7 pm: Halloween Costume Contest

Bring your most terrifying costume. There will be prizes for the best!  

• November 1 – 2  •  11 am – 9 pm: Day of the Dead Altars and Catrinas Exhibition

Presented by educational institutions in Puerto Vallarta. Prizes will be awarded for the best Day of the Dead altars on November 2 at 7 pm.
