Galerías Vallarta Hosts Ernesto Paulsen Art Pieces

Galerias Vallarta shopping center is currently hosting the exhibition Arte en Acero (Art in Steel) by mexican jeweler and sculptor Ernesto Paulsen, which will be open to the public until April 30, from 11 am to 9 pm.
The exhibition features some of the artist’s most recent works: 26 art pieces made of stainless steel—including one sculpture named “Bubble of Love”—and 10 works displayed on structures made of wood. Arte en Acero revolves around sustainability, human relationships and the conception and transcendence of the human being as a part of nature.
Ernesto Paulsen is the son of renowned sculptor Ernesto Paulsen Camba, who was born in 1935 in Guadalajara and founded the Silverware Sacred Art Workshop in Cuernavaca, Morelos. Paulsen grew up in an artistic environment, and, with the passing of time, became influenced by his father and others artists, developing his work in different disciplines such as jewelry design, sculpture, architecture and landscaping. Last year, he opened a gallery at Nima Shops located on Popa Street in Marina Vallarta. More information about his work can be found on his website at http://www.ernestopaulsen.com/
Zaidé Gómez Carrillo, Galerías Vallarta Brand Manager, has also confirmed two upcoming monthly exhibitions: local artist Antonio Velasco will be presenting a collection of paintings related to endangered birds species in the course of May and a photo gallery by José and Isaac Hamui will be taking place in June.
Galerías Vallarta is located at 2929 on Francisco Medina Asencio Ave., in front of Puerto Vallarta’s Maritime Terminal in the Hotel Zone. For more information about the shopping mall and upcoming events click here.
