Galerias Vallarta Presents José Moreno Aparicio Exhibition
Galerías Vallarta will host the exhibition “Cantos de la selva” (Chants of the jungle) by bolivian painter José Moreno Aparicio from March 18 to April 4.
The opening reception will take place at the shopping center on Friday, March 18, at 7 pm. The artist will be joined by the Mayor of Puerto Vallarta, Ing. Arturo Dávalos López; the Director of Puerto Vallarta’s Department of Culture, Fernando Sánchez; and the Tourism Assistant Director, Gabriel González Mora, for the ribbon cutting. The event is free to the public.
The works of Moreno Aparicio reflect the Latin America flora and fauna, including portraits, landscapes and abstract paintings.
The painter, who also owns a gallery in Nuevo Vallarta, expressed his enthusiasm for this exhibition and his commitment to Puerto Vallarta, which considers has it all to become “the next cultural destination of the coast of Mexico.”
Moreno Aparicio was born in a small town called Riberalta – Beni at the bolivian amazon region but has resided in México for the past 20 years. Since 1975 his artwork has been shown in more than 300 exhibitions in countries such as United States, France, Spain, Mexico and, of course, Bolivia. Among other accolades, the Mexico’s National Lottery acknowledged his work from 1994 to 1996 by displaying 4 of his paintings on the lottery tickets.
