Showcasing their commitment to society, Grupo Médico Joya is running a food donation program to help over 2,000 Vallarta families in vulnerable situation due to the current sanitary contingency.

To learn more about this generous initiative, the editorial staff of Vallarta Lifestyles interviewed Daniel Moreno, the communication coordinator of Grupo Médico Joya and this independent community project, who shared that the activities started on April 19th 2020: “This program has achieved three food donation sessions reaching 2,500 families, all thanks to the financial contributions of different businessmen in Puerto Vallarta as well as 60 volunteers in charge of packing up the food provisions and distributing them at Villa Real Terraza + Jardín, in the Mojoneras neighborhoods,” he explains.

One of the main features of these food provision packages is that they are supervised by Dr. Denisse Álvarez, who leads the nutrition team at Grupo Médico Joya,as they understand the importance of a healthy diet to strengthen the immune system.

“When I first opened my gallery in 1986, my relationship with Vallarta Lifestyles started for the need of people to know me and, because it is one of the very few quality publications in the destination, I decided to advertise in it. There are clients that still remember me for the magazine, with whom I have had several years of relationship.”

“Vallarta Lifestyles has readers from Punta de Mita to Mismaloya and beyond, so announcing my business, means the positioning and recognition of my agency throughout the region. The contents of the magazine are very interesting, because they provide relevant information about activities in the destination. I am pleased to see it at hotels, restaurants and galleries, but what excites me the most is to see people with their issue in hand. That is really relevant for us.”

“Vallarta Lifestyles, from its inception has been a quality reference. In some way, it has managed to consolidate the destination because all our restaurants where there and we communicate as an exchange platform. The benefit, besides advertisement and recommendation, is that this publication is a solid copy of Puerto Vallarta’s evolution. If you pick up an old issue, immediately you’ll recall precious memories.”
