In Search of Reason: A Sculpture that Awakens Curiosity
Puerto Vallarta’s Malecón, one of the most iconic spots in this beautiful city, is enriched by the presence of a unique sculpture that invites contemplation and inquiry: “In Search of Reason,” a masterpiece by the renowned Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante.
This work stands majestically on the Malecón since its inauguration on July 4th, 2000. The sculpture, crafted from bronze and towering at an impressive height of approximately 9 meters, features three figures representing pillow-like heads. Two of these heads are positioned atop a staircase, as if ascending in their quest for answers beyond the boundaries of humanity.
