Few can resist being seduced by this popular liqueur made from Mexican coffee, and many include it in their list of gifts to bring back home. We asked two of Puerto Vallarta’s most innovative bartenders to create fresh new drinks using Kahlua as the centerpiece. Try them at home. But while in Puerto Vallarta, pamper yourself with these exclusive signature cocktails at two of the hottest restaurants in town.

Lapahlua

1-1/2 oz. Kahlua
1 oz. chocolate vodka
1/2 oz. vanilla vodka
1/2 oz. espresso coffee
1/2 oz. Baileys Irish Cream

Pour Kahlua into a martini glass. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously. Pour over Kahlua and serve.

Cocktail Vitea

2 oz. Kahlua
1/2 oz. kiwi liqueur
1/2 oz. sloe gin
Orange juice

Pour Kahlua into a tulip glass. Add orange juice to taste. Float the kiwi liqueur and sloe gin. Garnish with a lime wedge and a maraschino cherry.

“We have a close relationship with Vallarta Lifestyles. Since it beginnings, it has been the most important media for the touristic promotion of our destination. Its content has always been excellent, due to the quality of its articles and spectacular photos. For the type of readers that it reaches, this the ideal publication to advertise our listings.”

General manager
Arq-Espacio

“We started to advertise 7 or 8 years ago and certainly it has helped us position our brand. Now that we have improved a lot in quality, processes and finished products, our marketing in the magazine is precisely to strengthen the leadership we have earned through the 13 years in the area. I also think that we also have grown with the advertisement and that it has been done and it has helped us get to where we are now.”
