Largest Cruise Ship to Cross Panama Canal Docks in Puerto Vallarta
Norwegian Cruise Line’s brand new cruise ship Norwegian Bliss has docked at the Puerto Vallarta Maritime Terminal. This vessel became the largest passenger ship to transit the Panama Canal during its inaugural journey from Germany a few weeks ago and is expected to debut in June 2018 with an itinerary for Alaska and the Caribbean.
The Norwegian Bliss was built by Meyer Werft (one of the major German shipyards based in Papenburg) and its hull artwork was designed by Wyland (the world’s leading marine life artist). It has 20 decks, 2,038 staterooms and capacity for 4,000 passengers. It features an innovative Observation Lounge, studio staterooms for solo travelers, spa suites, 2-bedroom family villas, entertainment, aqua park, ocean loops, spa, thermal suite and other stunning common areas. More than 80% of the rooms have sea view, while 40% of them have their own balconies.
