Pee Wee League will Bring Together Surf Enthusiasts in Sayulita
Pee Wee Surfing League 2017 will arrive to the waters of Sayulita this coming Saturday, December 16, after having held eight preliminary competitions on other Riviera Nayarit beaches since mid-August. The children league aims to discover new talents for this extreme sport in the region.
The tournament is sponsored by Ramos Shapes, Sunset Bungalows and Los Rudos SurfShop, and it follows the rules established by the World Surf League’s World Championship Tour, the International Surfing Association and the Nayarit State Surfing Association. It is backed up by several local surfing clubs.
Previous sites were San Pancho, San Blas and Punta Mita. Giovanni Pérez, from Sayulita Surf Co., announced the leader so far is Nicolás Fernández (aged 8), a native of Sayulita who has won four competitions and is positioning himself among the favorites.
The Riviera Nayarit Conventions and Visitors Bureau encourages all surf enthusiast to attend this family event to take place from 9:00 am. Beach access on Gaviotas street. More information is available at www.facebook.com/Ligapeeweesurfing.
