Puerto Vallarta is gearing up to host a new edition of the Los Muertos Beach Fishing Tournament (Torneo de Pesca Playa Los Muertos), an annual sporting event that brings together fishing enthusiasts and visitors around one of the destination’s most iconic beaches. On November 6th and 7th, 2026, this gathering will combine the thrill of offshore competition with a festive atmosphere.
In its 19th edition, the tournament features four categories: mahi-mahi (dorado), marlin, tuna, and jack crevalle (toro), species that will test the skill of the participants. The competition will also offer attractive cash prizes for top finishers in each category.
Beyond the sport itself, one of the event’s defining aspects is its lively community spirit. Once the competition concludes and the tournament officially wraps up, Los Muertos Beach will transform into the venue for a grand celebration open to participants and the general public.
The schedule includes live music performances and seaside food to enjoy, creating an ideal setting to share the day with family and friends. At nightfall, a fireworks display will mark the conclusion of activities, putting the finishing touch on two days of fishing and entertainment.
With this blend of sporting tradition and beachfront festivities, the 19th Los Muertos Beach Fishing Tournament joins the lineup of events enriching Puerto Vallarta’s calendar throughout November.
