From October 29th to November 1st, 2026, Vallarta · Nayarit will once again host the VidantaWorld Mexico Open, an official PGA TOUR event bringing together prominent figures in international golf in a setting where sporting competition pairs with the natural beauty and entertainment offerings of our destination.
Renowned for landscapes linking the Mexican Pacific, the Sierra Madre, and tropical vegetation, Vallarta · Nayarit has established itself as a world-class golf destination. Its metropolitan area features twelve courses offering diverse playing styles, including championship layouts and designs crafted by celebrated legends of the sport.
A GATHERING OF GOLF’S ELITE
The 2026 edition will take place at the Greg Norman Signature Course at VidantaWorld Vallarta, where 120 players will compete for a $6 million purse and 500 FedExCup points. The tournament will feature PGA TOUR competitors alongside notable representatives of Mexican and Latin American golf.
This edition marks a significant shift in the event’s calendar, taking place in the fall for the first time. Its schedule coincides with the opening of the VidantaWorld BON Theme Park, the season kickoff of a premier resident production, and the traditional Day of the Dead festivities across Banderas Bay, creating an engaging convergence of sports, culture, and entertainment.
Beyond the competition, the VidantaWorld Mexico Open offers the opportunity to enjoy a week in one of the professional circuit’s most spectacular settings, complete with international culinary offerings and entertainment framed by the region’s coastal landscape.
A SIGNIFICANT YEAR FOR MEXICAN GOLF
The tournament also joins in commemorating the centennial of the Mexican Golf Federation (Federación Mexicana de Golf), an anniversary highlighting the rich history of the sport in the country.
With this new edition, Vallarta · Nayarit reaffirms its standing on the global golf stage, offering players and spectators an experience where high-caliber competition meets the natural appeal of the destination.
