Puerto Vallarta Futbol Club Invites to Its Last Pre-Season Friendly Match

The beginning of the 2022-2023 season of the Mexico’s Liga TDP (Professional Third-League Division) is around the corner, so the Puerto Vallarta Futbol Club invites to its last pre-season friendly match.

This soccer game will take place next Saturday, August 20th, 2022 on the Cancha 1 (Main Soccer Field) of the “Agustín Flores Contreras” Sports Unit, with kick-off at 2:00pm. Puerto Vallarta Futbol Club is set to play Leones Negros of the Universidad de Guadalajara.

Formed on June 18th, 2019, the Puerto Vallarta Futbol Club emerged with the aim of promoting this sport among our destination’s young people (15 to 19 years old). Its vision is composed of five main objectives:

Implementing the American sports model (players should continue their academic studies and need to learn and speak English while training soccer).
Creating and developing the junior team (players 10 – 14 years old).
Taking the necessary path to be promoted to Liga MX (Mexico’s Professional First-League Division).
Exporting quality local players to MLS.
Founding a professional soccer academy in our destination.

This mission is supervised by Ignacio Báez, president of the Puerto Vallarta Futbol Club; Víctor Manuel Langarica, head coach; Héctor Iván Casasola, assistant coach; José Raymundo Andrade, physiotherapist; José Luis Hernández, goalkeeping coach; René García Cornejo, assistant coach and Juan Carlos De la Rosa, assistant coach.
