Puerto Vallarta Prepares to Connect with Prague: New Direct Flight to Boost European Tourism
Puerto Vallarta is set to increase its connectivity to Europe with the announcement of a new direct flight connecting this vibrant destination to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. This exciting development is thanks to the German company DER Touristik, known for its extensive experience in the tourism industry. This new flight, which will operate from October 2024 to April 2025, promises a unique experience for European visitors and an exceptional opportunity for local tourism operators.
New Direct Connection with Europe
The charter flight between Prague and Puerto Vallarta will not only connect the two cities, but also facilitate access to other European countries such as Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Austria. With a capacity of 432 passengers per flight, this new service is expected to attract up to 10,000 European visitors during the six months of operation.

Connection with Other Destinations in Jalisco
In addition to the direct flight between Prague and Puerto Vallarta, DER Touristik has also planned tours to major tourist destinations in Jalisco, such as Tequila and Guadalajara. These itineraries will allow visitors to explore the rich culture and traditions of the region, adding even more value to their experience in Mexico.
Modernization of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport
José Amador, director of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport, highlighted the ongoing efforts to modernize the airport, which received more than 6.7 million passengers in 2023. So far in 2024, passenger traffic has reached 2.1 million, an increase of 5% over the same period last year. This modernization is crucial to accommodate the growing number of European visitors.

Jiří Jelínek, director of DER Touristik for Eastern Europe, expressed his enthusiasm for the company’s projects for the upcoming fall-winter season. He emphasized the importance of direct flights to tropical destinations, which are very attractive for European tourists.
With this new route, Puerto Vallarta solidifies its position as a premier international destination, ready to welcome visitors from around the world.
