Puerto Vallarta: The Best Destination in the Perception of Security
According to the Encuesta Nacional de Seguridad Pública Urbana (ENSU) (National Security Survey) prepared by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI) (National Institute of Statistics and Geography), Puerto Vallarta is consolidated as the destination with the best perception in security both in Mexico and in the state of Jalisco.
With a rating of 26.4 points of perception in insecurity during the month of March, Puerto Vallarta is place above Los Cabos (28.5), Mazatlán (40.4), Acapulco (76.3) and Cancún (80.0).
At the state level, Puerto Vallarta is also in first place, with a wide margin compared to the second place, which belongs to Zapopan (60.6). They are followed by Tlajomulco de Zúñiga (67.8), San Pedro Tlaquepaque (68.9), Tonalá (77.0) and Guadalajara (87.1).
At the national level, Puerto Vallarta is located in the eighth place of the safest cities, where the first place is for San Pedro Garza García (11.7).
The ENSU is carried out on a quarterly basis and, for this edition, more than 27,000 households from 75 Mexican cities participated in the study.
