According to the National Port System Administration of Puerto Vallarta (ASIPONA), our destination recorded the arrival of 543,609 passengers aboard 174 international cruise ships in 2023. This represents an increase of 18.6 percent in cruise ship arrivals compared to 2022, when 458,319 tourists arrived.

The maritime industry accounts for 9 percent of visitors to Puerto Vallarta, underscoring the importance of maritime connections from the United States.

According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), the average daily spending of a cruise passenger in the period January to September 2023 was 80.64 USD.

The Riviera Mexicana route is frequented by several cruise ship lines from Los Angeles, Long Beach and San Diego, California to ports along the Mexican Pacific such as Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta.

“We started to advertise in Vallarta Lifestyles because since its beginnings and to date it keeps using modern technological equipment to produce it and it is possible to notice that in the quality of the magazine, which offers interesting topics about the life of our destination through its articles and interviews to well known personalities. Actually, I keep a collection in my personal library.”

“We have been clients of Vallarta Lifestyles since 1999, the year in which we arrived to this destination. Back then, it was the only publication where you could really do local marketing. These days, in spite of the arrival of new technologies, we keep advertising, because it is a really important complement for our marketing strategy.”

“When I first opened my gallery in 1986, my relationship with Vallarta Lifestyles started for the need of people to know me and, because it is one of the very few quality publications in the destination, I decided to advertise in it. There are clients that still remember me for the magazine, with whom I have had several years of relationship.”
