In the most recent edition of Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2023, Puerto Vallarta once again showed its charm and hospitality by securing a place among the “Top 10 Friendliest Cities in the World”.

In this way, Puerto Vallarta has surpassed world-renowned destinations such as Kyoto, Japan; Lisbon, Portugal; Cape Town, South Africa; and Oporto, Portugal, to become the only representative of Mexico and Latin America in this exclusive group.

Known for its beaches, charm and vibrant nightlife, Puerto Vallarta has made an indelible impression on luxury travelers who have praised the warm hospitality and genuine kindness of the Vallarta people.

Luis Villaseñor, general director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, expressed his pride in this achievement: “Puerto Vallarta is one of the preferred destinations for the national and international market. We are proud to be included in such a prestigious ranking that recognizes our city for the hospitality and friendliness of the Vallarta people.”

In addition to appearing on the “Friendliest Cities in the World” list, Puerto Vallarta was recently recognized in the “Best Small Cities in the World” category. This double recognition highlights the city’s exceptional tourism offerings, backed by unforgettable experiences and advice from discerning travelers.

Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards are a testament to the most treasured travel experiences according to its readers. With a record-breaking 526,518 voters participating in the 2023 Reader’s Choice survey, these awards serve as a hallmark of excellence in the travel industry.
