PV Ranks Among the Top 5 Safest Cities in Mexico

According to the 40th National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU) conducted by INEGI for the third quarter of 2023, Puerto Vallarta has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing a place among the top 5 safest cities in Mexico.

This impressive recognition is the result of the tireless collaborative efforts of state, federal, and local governments. Together, they have united their strengths to create a peaceful and secure environment for both residents and visitors.

The most recent edition of the ENSU saw the participation from over 27,000 households across 75 Mexican cities. As a result, Puerto Vallarta has claimed the fifth spot on the national list for cities with the highest perceived safety.

The top five cities in this ranking include:

Benito Juárez, CDMX – 15.8
Piedras Negras, Coahuila – 19.7
San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León – 20.8
Cuajimalpa de Morelos, CDMX – 21.4
Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco – 22.5

It is worth highlighting the remarkable progress, as in the previous edition of the survey, Puerto Vallarta was ranked 13th. This leap demonstrates the city’s unwavering commitment to safety and significantly enhances the quality of life for both its cherished residents and esteemed visitors.
