PV Welcomes the Mexico Series Puerto Vallarta WTA 125
Our destination is preparing to host one of the most important sporting events in the region: the Mexico Series Puerto Vallarta WTA 125, a women’s tennis tournament that will be held from February 19th to 25th, 2024 at Parque Parota, located in the city’s Hotel Zone.
The Mexico Series Puerto Vallarta WTA 125 marks the first edition of a WTA tournament in the city and heralds the arrival of some of the best players in the circuit who have triumphed on various courts around the world and now want to do it in Mexico.
Among the standout players scheduled to compete in this prestigious tournament is the talented Mexican tennis player Renata Zarazua, who made history this year by becoming the first national player to break into the top 100 of the world rankings in more than two decades. Other notable players include Amanda Anisimova, who reached the fourth round of the 2024 Australian Open, and the promising Colombian Emiliana Arango, who has had memorable encounters with Guadalajara Open champion Maria Sakkari.
The Mexico Series Puerto Vallarta WTA 125 solidifies Puerto Vallarta’s status as one of the preferred destinations for hosting internationally acclaimed sporting events.
