Riviera Nayarit, Showcased in Fashion Campaigns, Worldwide
Sayulita became the backdrop of two fashion photo and video shoots, while Punta Mita inspired a bathing suit available for purchase in East Asia.
The Riviera Nayarit Visitors and Conventions Bureau played a key role for the production of two fashion campaigns in Sayulita earlier this year, one for Athleta, a ladies’ sport brand by Old Navy, and one for Hollister. Lane Crawford, a retail company with specialty stores selling designer label luxury goods in Hong Kong and Greater China, launched a bikini designed by Anna Kosturova, inspired by Punta Mita, while sports wear and casual clothing manufacturer Billabong launched a reversible bikini inspired by Sayulita’s Mexican-bohemian atmosphere.
Italy’s Tutto Per Cucinare, a kitchen specialty brand, launched a bag based on colors and textures from Sayulita. The popular surfing destination was also featured in the United Kingdom, where Net-A-Porter magazine launched a beach dress inspired Riviera Nayarit’s “Hippie Chic” town. Also in the United Kingdom, Fashiola’s online catalog features other garments inspired by Sayulita.
