Organizers announced the sophomore edition of La Feria del Taco (Taco Fair), which will take place on Friday, September 16 at Lazaro Cardenas Park in Emiliano Zapata, alongside Puerto Vallarta’s Mexican Independence Day celebrations. The event will feature 20 different restaurants, offering foodies the opportunity to explore and enjoy a wide range of tacos—including seafood, beef and prehispanic specialties.

After a successful first edition, three thousand people are expected to attend this year’s event, including locals, domestic and foreign visitors, which, according to organizer Edgar Cisneros  would double last year’s attendance. During the festival, attendees will also enjoy the traditional music of the Puerto Vallarta’s Municipal Band and a Huichol musical ensemble. In addition, chef Miguel Ángel Cáliz—who is locally regarded as a regional cuisine promoter—will offer two Pre-hispanic food workshops.

Participating restaurants include El Coleguita, Marisma, Las Adelitas, La Romerita, Veggie Table, Cuates y Cuetes, Taco Wheels, Tuna Azul, Pinchi Taco, Mauricio’s and Happy Burros, among others. Los Muertos Brewing will be offering craft beer at the event.

“For those considering options to enjoy a trip during Mexico’s Independence Day weekend, we want to stress that Puerto Vallarta is a destination that offers many events where you can eat well and have an amazing time,” commented Luis Villaseñor from Puerto Vallarta’s Tourism Bureau. “We encourage visitors to celebrate Mexico by savoring the wide variety of tacos that represent us internationally.”

The event is open to the public and activities will go on from 4 to 11pm. For more information, please visit the event’s Facebook Page.

“Among other things, Vallarta Lifestyles stands out for its strong presence throughout our destination, from five stars hotels to brand new condominiums, where they finally find the type of clients that we look for. For all of us is very important to be in print media to strengthen our advertising strategy and this magazine is essential to achieve it.”

“Vallarta Lifestyles has readers from Punta de Mita to Mismaloya and beyond, so announcing my business, means the positioning and recognition of my agency throughout the region. The contents of the magazine are very interesting, because they provide relevant information about activities in the destination. I am pleased to see it at hotels, restaurants and galleries, but what excites me the most is to see people with their issue in hand. That is really relevant for us.”
