See you Soon Humpback Whales!

After four months of stay in the calm waters of Vallarta · Nayarit, March 23rd of 2020 marked the end of the season of our most loyal visitors: the majestic humpback whales. The Humpback Whales now head to the Arctic Ocean, promising to come back to this small corner of the Mexican Pacific during the next winter season.

Every year, hundreds of humpback whales arrive, since early December, to our bay, to enjoy our privileged weather, which is ideal for their reproduction and the birth of their calfs.

These giants of the sea –approximately 49ft long– carry out their peculiar courtship ritual by raising their dorsal fin and jumping on the water surface, a ritual that undoubtedly results in an unforgettable spectacle for those who have the opportunity to appreciate it from the safety of a boat.
