SUP and Volleyball Tournament Will Take Place in Yelapa

Chicos Yelapa Beach Club presents its first annual SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board) and Volleyball Tournament to be held this upcoming Saturday, March 26, in Yelapa, Cabo Corrientes, during the Easter break. Both competitions are open to the the public and will be featuring live music played by local DJ, Gael Boye.

“Chicos Yelapa has had three years of experience organizing music events on the beach and this year we wanted to try something different with a day packed with active beach sports, such as SUP and Volleyball,” commented beach club owner Tatiana Rodriguez.

The SUP race will be 1.5 km long, starting at 11 am and the Volleyball Tournament will begin at 2 pm with teams consisting of four people. There will be cash prizes for the winners. The SUP challenge fee registration is $150 MX for participants owning a board and $350 MX including board rental. Participation in the Volleyball Tournament will cost $125 MX per person.

Yelapa is a charming fishing village located on a cove in Southern Banderas Bay, 30 minutes away from Puerto Vallarta by boat. It is a popular relaxing destination due to its natural attractions, featuring a one mile long beach, a beautiful river, waterfalls and mountains. Chicos Yelapa will be offering panga service from Marina Vallarta and/or Olas Altas since 9 am. There is space for 10 people per trip, with a cost of $200 MX per person, round trip.
