The third edition of the Ceviche and Aguachile Festival will be held this Friday, January 27, in Puerto Vallarta, where eight of the best restaurants in the Banderas Bay area will prepare and serve these traditional and tasty Mexican dishes.

Foodies and casual visitors alike will delight their palates with flavorful creations prepared by renowned local chefs at this edition of the Festival, where the absolute protagonists will be these famous native dishes, in a variety of versions. This annual culinary event will take place at Plaza Lázaro Cárdenas, in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone, where Ceviche and Aguachile portions will be served at affordable prices amidst a festive atmosphere, accompanied by music and so much fun.

Ceviche and Aguachile are two very popular classic seafood dishes in the west coast of Mexico, where they have experienced an increasing acceptance among tourists visiting Puerto Vallarta and other similar destinations. The Ceviche, a very well known seafood dish throughout Latin America (especially Mexico and Peru), is typically elaborated from fresh raw fish or seafood, cured in lemon juice and spiced with chili peppers. Ceviche can also be seasoned with onions, salt and cilantro. For its part, the Aguachile—considered the lesser-known cousin of the Ceviche—is a dish originated in the area of Sinaloa, which is made with shrimp, dipped in a broth seasoned with chili peppers, salt, lemon, cilantro and fresh vegetables.

Some of the most important seafood restaurants in the Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit area will be participating in this third edition of the Ceviche and Aguachile Festival: Lamara, Blue Tuna, Cuates & Cuetes, Happy Burros, Taco Wheels, Bob Chelero, The Beer Box Prime and Buzzos. In addition to promoting the cultural and social importance of these dishes in the Mexican cuisine, expert chefs will delight the attendees with a wide variety of Ceviche and Aguachile styles.

The Ceviche and Aguachile Festival will be held at Plaza Lázaro Cárdenas next Friday, January 27, from 12:00pm – 6:00pm. Both locals and tourists visiting Puerto Vallarta are invited to enjoy this culinary event where they will have the chance to try these tasty seafood dishes.

“Vallarta Lifestyles was the first reliable magazine that emerged in our destination. In fact, up to date is the only publication that we have in Puerto Vallarta that you can be proud of, because if you give it to someone, you know that person will enjoy watching the photos and reading the articles in each of its pages. I consider, that it is the only magazine that prevails in Vallarta · Nayarit as an icon of this genre”.

“When I first opened my gallery in 1986, my relationship with Vallarta Lifestyles started for the need of people to know me and, because it is one of the very few quality publications in the destination, I decided to advertise in it. There are clients that still remember me for the magazine, with whom I have had several years of relationship.”
