One of the most important international sporting and social events is taking place in Vallarta · Nayarit. Mexico Open at Vidanta is a world-class golf tournament that brings together 132 of the best golf exponents to compete for a 7.3-million-dollar purse and 500 FedEx Cup points.

Mexican golf’s great moment is confirmed with the participation of its best exponents: Abraham Ancer (84 in the FedEx Cup), Carlos Ortiz (69 in the ranking), in addition to the already outstanding talents Armando Favela, Álvaro Ortiz (brother of Carlos and winner of the Mexican Golf Open 2019), Manuel Inman, Isidro Benítez and Roberto Díaz; while Cristóbal Islas, Santiago De la Fuente and Antonio Safa are amateur prospects. All of them present on a Greg Norman-course of 7,456 yards, par-71.

Among the international exponents are the Spanish Jon Rahm, current champion of the US Open Golf 2021 (23 in the ranking), the American Gary Woodland (59), the American Tony Finau (149), the Korean-American Kevin Na (108), the British Justin Rose (113), the Colombian Sebastián Muñoz (48), the Colombian Camilo Villegas (196) and the Chilean Mito Pereira (45).

Mexico Open at Vidanta takes place in Riviera Nayarit.
