We decided to take a closer look at this amazing training program, intended to expose youngsters of all nationalities in the area, along with their families, to the enjoyment of sailing.

Founded in the early 90s, the Vallarta Yacht Club in Nuevo Vallarta is a non-profit, private membership organization known for its service to members and contributions to yachting in the Banderas Bay region. They provide an active social environment for residents and visitors interested in yachting and other nautical activities, such as sport fishing, sport diving and paddle boarding. In addition, the Vallarta Yacht Club is host to world-class international competitions and sponsors charitable events and activities to benefit their educational goals, including the Junior Sailing Program.

We visited the Vallarta Yacht Club early this week to see some of the young students in action. The program has three levels of instruction for kids and young adults 7 – 24 years of age. Through the Junior Sailing Program, children have the opportunity to learn, in a safe and protected environment, skills and knowledge that can allow them to enter a sport that can provide a lifetime of great joy and friendships. “Vallarta Lifestyles is really well positioned. We are aware of that because we have seen people who arrive to our jewelry with the issue or the advertising in hand asking about the product that is featured there. This dynamic is really interesting for us and makes us glad.”

“We have a close relationship with Vallarta Lifestyles. Since it beginnings, it has been the most important media for the touristic promotion of our destination. Its content has always been excellent, due to the quality of its articles and spectacular photos. For the type of readers that it reaches, this the ideal publication to advertise our listings.”

“Vallarta Lifestyles has readers from Punta de Mita to Mismaloya and beyond, so announcing my business, means the positioning and recognition of my agency throughout the region. The contents of the magazine are very interesting, because they provide relevant information about activities in the destination. I am pleased to see it at hotels, restaurants and galleries, but what excites me the most is to see people with their issue in hand. That is really relevant for us.”
