Viva Mexico!: Celebrating Mexican Independence in Puerto Vallarta
After two years of absence due to the health contingency, Puerto Vallarta will again celebrate face-to-face the Mexican Independence with a series of activities in downtown, where the traditional Cry of Independence will take place.
September 14th, 2022
The traditional Charro Parade will begin at 11:00am in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood (intersection of Basilio Badillo and Ignacio L. Vallarta streets) and will continue through the Morelos Street until finish on Honduras Street in the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood.
September 15th, 2022
The traditional Cry of Independence is scheduled at 10:00pm. This event will take place at the Puerto Vallarta’s Municipal Palace, where hundreds of people are expected to be present.
Later, the attendees will be able to be part of a great popular festival to enjoy this Mexican night.
September 16th, 2022
Plaza de Armas is the venue of a civic ceremony that will take place at 8:00am. This event will commemorate the beginning of the War of Independence. Immediately, at 11:00am, the civic-military parade will begin from the Municipal Palace, going through Morelos Street.
In addition to these celebrations, both residents and visitors can enjoy the different Mexican-style events that Puerto Vallarta hotels and restaurants have prepared.
